The final hurdle is to keep the total costs within the new budget of £2.2m.
The original legacy of £250,000 which allowed us to start planning for a new church in Stroud was supplemented by the promise of £1m arising from the sale of The Christian Community church in North London.
Towards the end of last year a further £615,000 was promised from central funds, including the proceeds of the sale of the plot at the West End of our present site in Stroud, which will be developed as housing.
This left us with a shortfall of just under £150,000 to be raised by ourselves between then and the finishing of the building work in November 2018.
Almost £20,000 of this has since been raised, and donations and pledges from members, friends and supporters are now over £180,000, with more than £22,000 also raised through fundraising activities and initiatives by members of the congregation.
Please help to achieve our new target by making or pledging a donation, as a one-off gift or a regular contribution.
